The mythological characters and Goa’s folklore will descend on Panaji’s street on March 14 as state celebrates the float parade to commemorate traditional Shigmo festival.
Shigmo, the festival to welcome the spring, is celebrated across Goa’s villages and suburbs. “For last 20 years, we are hosting various activities to present these folklores to the urban population.
The float parade and various activities will be held between March 11 to March 15,” Srinivas Dempo, chairman, Panaji Shigmotsav Samiti, told reporters here.
